Richard Goldstein, Esq.
I am the Founder and Managing Partner of Goldstein & Goldstein in partnership with my son, Michael. My entire 46-year career has been dedicated to personal injury litigation and fighting for the rights of injured clients. I focus the bulk of my practice on motor vehicle accidents, commercial truck accidents, ceiling falls, and slip and fall accidents. I also handle the firm’s marketing and business operations and serve as a consultant to the Family Service Organization of Essex County Board of Directors and former Chair of the District Fee Arbitration Committee.
Prior to opening the firm in the mid-1990s, I was a partner in the Law Firm of Weicholz, Peters and Goldstein and served as legal counsel to the New York City Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association. I successfully represented hundreds of New York City Police Officers in a myriad of complex legal matters.
It’s All for the Clients…
I love interacting with clients, listening to their plights, and helping them in any possible way I can. A serious injury can completely derail a person’s life, their career, and affect their ability to care for and provide for their family. It can be a devastating blow to most people. We truly feel for our clients and want nothing more than to help them through situations they can see no way out of on their own. That is where we come in and get to work.
We treat clients like family, with respect, and truly listen. People come in, and they may have creditors hounding them, their house may be threatened by foreclosure, and they are unable to work, all because someone else’s negligence caused them to be seriously injured. For many in our area, losing employment is a catastrophic event.
There is nothing we love more than securing compensation for clients that changes their lives. You can actually see the weight of the stress lift, the relief when they realize they can pay those bills, save their house, and protect their families. They are so grateful, but really, we are the grateful ones. They are the reason Goldstein & Goldstein exists – we want to help people. It is all for the clients.
